Grace VanderWaal announced as America’s Got Talent’s newest winner
America’s Got Talent Season 11, announced their official winner on Wednesday night. Anyone who has been following the TV series probably could have predicted who the winner was since the judges adored her from day one.
Grace VanderWaal was announced as the newest America’s Got Talent champion. This talented young star soared through this season, receiving a hit on the Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel in the first round of auditions. The Golden Buzzer sent her straight to the live show, and Grace continued to outperform and impress the judges (and America) in all of her auditions.
At only 12 years old, Grace just won herself $1 million dollars and most likely a record deal. After the show, VanderWaal announced that she wants to donate a portion of her winnings to a music charity.
During the season, hard-to-please judge, Simon Cowell, didn’t hold back on letting the young performer know how special she was, stating that she could be the new Taylor Swift. Heidi Klum also chimed in saying that Grace will change the industry.
Young stars seemed to have taken over this this season of America’s Got Talent. There were more child stars and amazing young performers this year than in any past season. The judges were constantly amazed at the amount of talent the youngins’ had this year.
There were many other talented people who made it to the finals on the show. Among the acts were Sal Velentinetti, the incredible singer; Tape Face, the hilarious mime; Jon Dorenbos, the football star/magician; and the The Clairvoyants.
The end results were between The Clairvoyants and Grace. We are predicting that although Grace’s career is about to hit the ground running, this won’t be the last time we hear about The Clairvoyants.
Congratulations to Grace VanderWaal for winning this season. It is safe to say we are all truly wowed at the acts this season had and can’t wait to see what America brings us next season.
