American Idol Results Show Review
On last week’s American Idol, the top five contestants of Idol show were revealed. Landing in the bottom three were all guys, Casey Abrams, Jacob Lusk and Scotty McCreery.
Abrams who received the judges’ “Save” a few weeks back was revealed to once again receive the lowest audience vote. This time however, the judges could not save him as they did before when America chose to eliminate the quirky but lovable crooner.
Some contestants who appreciated Abrams humor and sense of musicality were much disappointed that he would not continue on his journey to the top. With his jazz twist and signature growl, Abrams brought his unique personality to the stage.
The result show also featured two very prominent guest stars.
Season 9 contestant, Crystal Bowersox, who went on to become the runner-up to Lee DeWyze, sang “Ridin’ with the Radio” from her debut album “Farmer’s Daughter.” Bowersox wowed the crowd and rocked the Idol stage and Bruno Mars also performed his hit single “The Lazy Song” looking suave in a pair of shades and surprised many as he invited a dog on stage with him.
Although Abrams will be quite missed, viewers will be quite happy to know that Abrams will still be joining the Idol Tour. Because the judges decided to use their “Save” at the Top 11 elimination leading to a double elimination the following week, producers decided that it was only fair to extend the tour to the Top 11 finalists.
The Idol Tour this summer will feature contestants, Casey Abrams, Thia Megia, Jacob Lusk, Lauren Alaina, Stefano Langone, Haley Reinhart, Scotty McCreery, Pia Toscano, Paul McDonald, Naima Adedapo and James Durbin.
The five contestants left in the running to become the winner of American Idol include Haley Reinhart, Scotty McCreery, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina and Jacob Lusk.
