Updates on Taylor Swift’s Trial

By  |

On Thursday, pop star Taylor Swift took the stand in Denver Federal Court and testified against “alleged groper” and former Disc Jockey David Mueller. Check out our latest article for more insight and details regarding the reason for the trial.

Swift was confident as she testified on Thursday. “It was a definite grab, [a] very long grab,” Swift, said.  “It was long enough for me to be completely sure it was intentional.”

Afterwards, Swift’s mother, Andrea, took the stand. It was very emotional for her and she even spoke about how the team approaches public events, and specifically meet and greets, differently now.

“She was really shaken, she was humiliated, she was horribly embarrassed because he grabbed her bare ass,” Andrea said. “It’s absolutely shattered our trust. Our meet-and-greets are much smaller. We have metal detectors. We do background checks. It scared us really badly.”

Mueller took the stand both Tuesday and Wednesday, and tried to defend himself.

During Mueller’s testimony on Tuesday he said, “My hand came into contact with a part of her body … what seemed to be a ribcage or ribs.” He added that it is a “humiliating thing to be accused of something that despicable.”

Mueller denied all allegations and said that his “dream job” was ruined. He also said that his future in any career path was ruined. Swift’s attorney, Doug Baldridge, was quick to press him and said that Mueller was suing for fame and fortune.

So far, jurors have heard from Mueller, Swift’s mother, Andrea, and Austin Swift, Taylor Swift’s younger brother. Swift has actively participated each day of the trial, even though she is one of the most popular celebrities in the world. Swift said that she wants to “serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts.”

We will let you know any further updates on the nine-day trial as soon as we know. Stay tuned.
