True Blood costars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer married over weekend

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, the stars of the hit HBO vampire series “True Blood,” tied the knot this past Saturday in Malibu, California with a beautiful evening wedding ceremony, capping off their year-long engagement. The nuptials took place at a private villa, with Paquin looking dazzling in a a flowing white halterneck dress and her husband-to-be channeling his “True Blood” roots in a dark and elegant suit.

Paquin (28) and Moyer (40), met on the set of the show, and have reportedly said that their first kiss was on-screen. But they definitely aren’t complaining about their lifestyle—in an interview with People, Paquin had this to say of the couple’s work relationship: “It’s great to have the freedom to enjoy your work and not feel like you’re leaving your other life behind,” she said. “It’s a pretty sweet setup.”

In keeping with that line of thought, several of the couple’s colleagues were present at the wedding, including “True Blood” creator Alan Ball and costars Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, and Carrie Preston.

“It was a beautiful evening to get married and the sunset was gorgeous. Anna and Stephen seemed very excited to celebrate their wedding day,” a source told People. That sentiment is confirmed if you pay attention to the way Moyer gushes about his new bride: “We trust each other so implicitly that there’s never anything hurtful; it always comes from a loving place. It’s not as though people I’ve been with before haven’t been loving, but with Anna it’s just about pure trust, on camera and off. I have never trusted anybody like I trust Anna,” he told Playboy in its latest July issue.
