With Comic-Con officially kicking off tonight with it’s ‘Preview Night,’ expect traffic and parking to be absolute hell downtown this weekend. But, alas, there are alternatives to circling around the city for hours trying to find a space.

In the past, Comic-Con has beamed over 100,000 comic thirsty fans to downtown. It’s vital to make sure you have a thought out plan to arrive at the San Diego Convention Center. Parking will be virtually impossible, so we advise using San Diego’s trolley and bus lines, which are among the finest in the country.

We highly recommend parking in Mission Valley and utilizing the trolley there, this will take you from one of two stations right in front of the convention center. This is not the only option, there are several ways to reach your destination. Plan a Trip from your location!

Alternative transportation:

Comic-Con provides a free shuttle service, which runs through various convention hotels and the San Diego Convention Center. Whether you’re staying in a downtown hotel or not, you may still use this service by parking your car at a structure away from the Convention Center.

Trolley Ticket Rates:

1-Trip= $2.50
1-Day = $5
2-Days = $9
3-Days = $12
4-Days = $15
