Entertainer Quickie: The Spice Girls are back & Megan Fox’s baby surprise
A reunion for the Spice Girls?
The famous 90’s British pop girl band are back! On Tuesday, June 26th, the girls gave in to what every Spice Girl fan dreamed of, an onstage reunion of the Spice Girls. The former pop band announced to the public information regarding the upcoming musical, “Viva Forever.” The musical will be based on several of the Spice Girls’ songs.
The group memebers, Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), formed their band in 1994. In 1996 the band’s released single, “Wannabe,” had girls across the globe singing, “I tell you what I want, what I really, really want.” The song paved the way towards the band’s newfound popularity, and started what some say the beginning of Teen Pop music. The Spice Girls’ debut album, “Spice,” sold 28 million.
The British pop stars reunited in 2007 to 2008 for their reunion world concert tour. In 38 seconds flat, the fans gobbled up the tickets to the Spice Girls London reunion concert. On December 15, 2007 more than a million people attended the concert.
“Producers stress that the stage show “Viva Forever” isn’t a biography of the band, but there are plenty of real-life resonances for the 1990s “Girl Power” group in its tale of female empowerment and friendship tested by fame.” (Fox News).
The scoring for musical will include songs such as, “Mama,” “Spice Up Your Life,” and “Wanna Be.” Inside the show, the story will be told of four friends who form a band, but their bonds of friendship are tested when they enter a TV talent show.
All the members of the Spice Girls have shown their enthusiasm for the show and cannot wait for the debut. Previews for “Viva Forever” will appear starting November 27. The show will begin it’s first show at the London Piccadilly Theater on December 11.
“The musical will introduce “a whole new generation to ‘girl power,'” said Beckham.
Megan Fox Pregnant
The Spice Girls are not the only ones unveiling a surprise. Given that this is Fox’s first pregnancy, Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Green has been “super protective of her,” the source tells US. “He’s always walking in front or behind her to make sure she is completely looked out for. He really wants to take care of her and make sure she is as happy as can be.” (US Weekly)
The couple started dating back in 2004 and after 6 years of dating they married in 2010 at the same Kona Island they now vacation at. Two years later the stars are seen just as happy, if not happier. Although the couple haven’t revealed the news of the baby to the public yet, the pictures have said it all.
At the resort pool the actress was shown in her bikini with her husband kissing her stomach. Green, 38, looked very excited during their stay. During their anniversary vacation, his ten-year-old son, Kassius, from a previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil, 43, got to spend time with the couple.
Wonder when the couple will finally announce to the public their happy news?
