Entertainer Quickie: Fighting Celebrities – Stephen Baldwin and Kevin Costner, Drake and Chris Brown

The courtroom battle between Baldwin and Costner

Thursday, a jury deliberated for only two hours before relieving Kevin Costner from the charges that Stephen Baldwin was accusing him of.  The two Hollywood actors were caught in an ugly battle over millions of dollars.  Baldwin believes that he was unjustly coerced into selling his shares in a company called Ocean Therapy Solutions while a lucrative deal was going through.

The deal was with BP, an oil giant, who ended up making a $52 million dollar order in 2010 for 32 oil-separating centrifuges, devices used to clean up the ocean in the event of an oil spill.

Baldwin sought out $17 million in damages, but received nothing from the jury.  With Baldwin accusing Costner and his business partner, Patrick Smith, of lying to Baldwin and his friend, Spyridon Contogouris, about the deal.

According to Fox News, Baldwin deterred questions to his lawyer following the verdict.  James Cobb replied that, “We’re disappointed. We thought we proved rather convincingly that these two guys, Mr. Costner and Mr. Smith, defrauded us. The jury saw it a different way but we respect the jury’s verdict.”

Drake and Chris Brown come to blows

A fight in a bar left a room full of damages and several people injured last week when Chris Brown and Drake got into an argument.  At the time stories from both parties are conflicting, but cameras on scene will reveal who started the brawl and who was involved.

Drake’s representative released a statement that he was on his way out of the club when the fight began and Drake did not “engage in any activity that resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”

However, the New York Post is reporting that several witnesses are coming up with a different story in which Drake hurls a bottle of champagne at Chris Brown and his entourage while in the club.

Apparently, the fight was over singer Rihanna who has dated both men.  The New York Post also reported that the singer “consoled” herself after the brawl by getting a tattoo of an Egyptian Falcon shaped like a gun.
