Miley Cyrus releases new single, “Malibu”

It has been quite some time since we have heard a hit from Miley Cyrus, but the wait is over. Miley Cyrus released her newest single, “Malibu” and her lyrics are far from what we’d expect.

It’s safe to say that Malibu is a stretch from what we are used to hearing and seeing from the young artist. With controversial hits like “Wrecking Ball” where Miley was seen sitting naked atop of a wrecking ball, or “23” the rap that Miley created with Mike Will Made It, we are seeing a different approach in her newest songs.

Malibu’s lyrics seem to revolve around her love with Liam Hemsworth and the song takes on a romantic, fun flirty vibe. Miley is seen frolicking on the beach, holding balloons, dancing in loose white outfits, and it is clear we all are excited for the direction that Miley is heading in with her music.

Miley sings, “But here I am, next to you, The sky’s more blue in Malibu. Next to you in Malibu, Next to you.”

Since rekindling her romance with Liam Hemsworth, we’ve seen a lot of changes in Miley’s behavior. Miley is no longer the provocative partier, who holds psychedelic concerts. In recent months, Cyrus announced that she has chosen to be sober to focus on being in the present moment.

Her song reflects her love with Hemsworth and surprises us all with a more pure and lively way of singing that she strayed away from in the past.

Her newest single is on a whole other level that her fans are sure to be proud of and love. She is embracing a new way of life and love with Hemsworth and we are excited to see what Miley has in store for us next.
