Michael Bublé’s son diagnosed with cancer
Sometimes, the bad news just gets worse. But when those times occur, it’s important to remember what unites us all.
Last week, Michael Bublé announced on his Facebook page that his three year old son, Noah, has been diagnosed with cancer. And instead of deciding to continue touring and bolstering his music career, the Canadian singer and songwriter said that he will not sing again until his son has fully recovered from the symptoms.
The Canadian singing sensation has trod a peculiar path to reaching stardom. In 2000, he sang at a business party event with the prime minister’s aid -Brian Mulroney- in attendance. After the performance, Bublé was invited to sing at the wedding of Mulroney’s daughter. At the wedding, Bublé was eventually introduced to David Foster who has worked with iconic stars such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Josh Groban, and Andrea Bocelli.
From there, as they say, the rest was history.
In 2003, Bublé released his first album and made multiple national appearances on many TV shows throughout his career.
But in light of his son’s recent diagnoses, he has elected to do away with the fame for now, after releasing this statement on Facebook:
“We are devastated by the recent diagnosis of cancer of our oldest son Noah, who is currently receiving treatment in the United States. We’ve always talked a lot about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I will devote all our time and attention to help Noah to get better, for now suspending our professional activities. During this difficult time, we ask you to pray for him and please respect our privacy. We have a long road ahead and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God, we can win this battle.”
The news came recently after his newest album entitled, Nobody But Me which released on October 21, 2016. It remains to be seen where his career goes from here, but we wish him the best of luck through this troubling time.
