Entertainer Quickie: Mary-Kate Olsen and Kanye West dating, 98 Degrees Reunion?
The Entertainer once again brings you the gossip everyone wants to know. In today’s Entertainer Quickie we explore Hollywood relationships and a possible boy band reunion.
Mary Kate Olsen and Kanye
Looks like love may be in the celebrity air as gossip rumors are flying around about the possibility of Mary-Kate Olsen, 25, being romantically linked with Kanye West, 34.
Olsen and her fellow twin Ashley are celebrating their 25th birthdays today, but guess that doesn’t stop Mary-Kate from having to deal with the rumors. They are best remembered for their cute portrayal little Michelle Tanner in the TV series Full House (1987-1995) as well as the video series of The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen (1994-1997) and You’re Invited to Mary Kate and Ashley’s (1995-2000).
The twins have appeared in numerous films together, including, To Grandma’s House We Go (1992), How The West Was Won (1994), The Little Rascals (1994), It Takes Two (1995), Switching Goals (1999), Our Lips Are Sealed (2000), Winning London (2001), When in Rome (2002), and New York Minute (2004).
In their adult lives they have created very high end fashion lines and have been promoting their fashion brand, The Row. According to the National Ledger, the twins are not using their faces or names to promote their products since they are trying to not get The Row branded as a celebrity clothing line. The ladies have stated that they want the focus to be on their work and not themselves, which is why they have been trying to avoid the limelight. Due to recent rumors, however, they may be forced back into the spotlight again.
Last Monday, Kanye West, known for albums that include, The College Dropout, Late Registration, and My Beautiful Dark Fantasy, had chatted with Mary-Kate during the Annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards in New York. During their chat, West invited her to attend her birthday party. The Post Chronicle states that the duo were reportedly seen kissing at his 34th “birthday bash” that was held Wednesday in NYC city at the Submercer Bar. Since then, there has been a lot of gossip flying around about the possibility of them dating. Maybe West just wanted some fashion advice?
98 Degrees reunion?
Other rumors are flying around of a possible 98 Degrees reunion. According to Contact Music, former band member Nick Lachey has admitted that he is willing to be involved for a possible reunion comeback, but only “if the stars can co-ordinate their schedules.”
98 Degrees was known for performing American pop music in the 90s and was formed by former band member Jeff Timmons. The boy band consisted of four singers, Justin Jeffre, Jeff Timmons, and Nick and Drew Lachey. They produced only four albums: 98 Degrees (1997), 98 Degrees and Rising (1998), and Revelation (2000) as well as one holiday album, This Christmas (1999).
Since the band’s break from fame, Nick Lachey has released a couple of his own albums: Soulo (2003) and What’s Left of Me (2006). Jeff Timmons also has his own album out as well, Whisper That Way (2004), and has stated in his website that he may be releasing another album later this year. Lachey states that over the years the group has still maintained their friendship and that he can envision a reunion that can possibly happen in the future. Guess it depends on the others.
