Entertainer Quickie: Laurence Fishburne Replaced, Romance for Ryan Reynolds, and celebrities invited to Marine Corps Ball

Laurence Fishburne replaced by Ted Danson on CSI

On September 21 at 11PM Pacific Time, Ted Danson will be making his character debut for the series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

His character is scheduled to be a regular role for the series as the new CSI investigator. According to CBS News, the 63-year-old will be playing as the Supervisor for the Las Vegas CSI team, a position that was held previously by Laurence Fishburne and William Peterson.

Peterson originally held the position until he left the series in the 2008-2009 season. Laurence Fishburne replaced Peterson after the original supervisor left. At the end of this season, Fishburne dropped out and will be replaced by Danson.

But don’t worry all you HBO fans of the series “Bored to Death,” he will still remain as a regular for the series. According to TV By the Numbers, Danson will even be in the upcoming film, “Everybody Loves Whales” as the opposite of Drew Barrymore and John Kransinsky. The film is scheduled to be released in January 2012. For his role in the TV drama series “Damages” as Arthur Frobisher, the star has received Emmy nominations for three years in a row. Danson will be starring for “CSI”’s 12^th season this September. We shall see how well he will perform in his new role.

Ryan Reynold’s Love Life Heats Up

Speaking of new roles, it looks like the starlet Charlize Theron has stepped into the role of being Ryan Reynolds’s new love interest.

The couple kept fans wondering whether the duo were actually dating or not. A source has stated that the recently divorced Reynolds, 34, has been dating the movie starlet Theron, 35, for months. The new couple have been keep their relation exclusive and “it’s very hush-hush.”

So if  Reynolds and Theron have been keeping their relationship a secret, what proof has been shown of it? According to US Magazine, while the two have never been photographed together yet, a witness has stated that they saw Reynold’s motorcycle parked at Theron’s house and that it had stayed there all morning. The witness said that the actor stayed on June 5 and did not leave the house until 3 in the afternoon and the actress left a few minutes later.

The “Green Lantern” star recently split from his wife, the “Iron Man 2” and “Horse Whisperer” starlet Scarlett Johansson. However, he hasn’t severed all connection from his former wifey. According to MSNBC News, last Friday night in L.A. he was seen having a nice dinner with his ex at a restaurant called Little Dom’s.

Maybe he still has feelings for her? Who do you think make a better couple, Reynolds and Theron, or Reynolds and Johansson? Both women are gorgeous blonds.

Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake Invited to Marine Corps Ball

And as the topic of new interests arises, Mila Kunis is shocked during her interview with Fox News by a Youtube request sent by a Marine.

The Marine, Sgt. Scott Moore, asked her if she would be his date to the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, N.C. in November. The Marine Corps ball is an annual event that celebrated when the Marines were founded on Nov. 10, 1775 and it is one of the most important events for a Marine’s calendar.

Fox News asked Kunis if she knew about the video and she expressed her surprise at the invite. She attentively asked for further details about the video and the Ball event during her interview. According to Washington Times, she was “goaded to fulfill her patriotic duties” by her “Friends with Benefits” co-star, Justin Timberlake.

Moore’s video request for the date got through to Kunis and the actress accepted. During the interview she looked directly into the camera saying she was going to make this happen and said, “I’m with you.” So Moore has now gained fame as well as a date with the beautiful “Black Swan” actress.

The Marine will be returning from his deployment in Afghanistan and is excited for both the special ball with Mila and for his return trip home.

Even Justin Timberlake has recently been asked to the Marine Corps Ball. According to the Boston Herald, after goading his own co-star to go to the ball, Timberlake received his own invitation from a female Marine. Marine Cpl. Kelsey De Santis sent out her own invite to Justin through a Youtube video so that the boys wouldn’t “have all the fun.”

The Herald stated that she appeared on CNN and said in her Youtube declaration to Timberlake, “You want to call out my girl Mila, well, I’m gonna call you out and ask you to come to the Marine Corps Ball with me on Nov. 12 in Washington, D.C, And if you can’t go, all I have to say is ‘Cry Me a River.’”

Since the singer put the pressure on Kunis to accept Moore’s invite it is only fair that he should to. He hasn’t responded yet to the invite. So only time will tell whether the co-stars will go through with their dates with the Youtube stars or not.
