Kate Hudson and Victoria Beckham both welcome new babies

Congratulations to Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson who both welcomed a new addition to their families this weekend.

Kate Hudson and her fiancé Muse front man Matt Belamy welcomed a new baby boy on Saturday night.

The couple delivered the baby in Los Angeles, who weighed a healthy 7 ½ lbs and is Hudson’s second son. The actress announced her pregnancy early January and unveiled her engagement to Belamy during an interview with Matt Lauer in April.

Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy met at last year’s Coachella Music Festival in Indio, CA where the British rocker was performing with his band, Muse.

Hudson, now 31 had her previous child Ryder with Chris Robinson of the Black Crows, to whom Hudson was briefly married. Ryder is now 7 years old. Hudson and Bellamy have not yet decided on a name for their newborn son.

Another pair of A-listers welcomed a baby this weekend, British power couple Victoria (aka Posh Spice) and David Beckham gave birth their first daughter on Sunday. The baby was delivered at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where the couple currently resides.

The baby girl has been given a strange name befitting her celebrity parentage, Harper Seven Beckham. The name “Harper”, a source says, comes from an old English name that the couple has always liked. “Seven” is a lucky number, and because the baby was born “in the seventh month, in the seventh hour” her parents added the number into her name.

Harper Seven Beckham is the couple’s fourth child, their eldest son Brooklyn is 12, Romeo is 8, and Cruz is 6. David Beckham currently plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy, and Victoria Beckham, a former pop star, is a fashion designer and has a line of high-end clothing and accessories.
