Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millipied Welcome Baby Boy

It was announced this week that actress Natalie Portman has given birth to a baby boy.

The Academy Award-winning actress is engaged to choreographer Benjamin Millipied. The couple met on the set of Darren Aronowksty’s ballet drama, “Black Swan,” where Millipied choreographed the dances for Portman’s character, Nina.

In a statement released by the famously private actress, Portman had this to say. “I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.”

The couple announced their engagement and the pregnancy last December. Soon after the announcement Portman won a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, an Independent Spirit, and an Academy Award for her role in “Black Swan.” The name of the child has not yet been disclosed.

Joss Stone Murder/Robbery Attempt

Two men were arrested outside the home of British soul singer-songwriter, Joss Stone yesterday morning. They have been charged with “conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.”

Neighbors reported a suspicious looking vehicle parked outside of Stone’s home in the rural British town of Devon.

When apprehended the police found a body bag, rope, and swords in the vehicle. The men also had an aerial photo of Stone’s home and a layout of the surrounding areas. The men had supposedly traveled there from Manchester, a city nearly 200 miles away from Stone’s residence.

Police are still investigating the case, and the men are scheduled to appear before a judge tomorrow.

The 24-year old singer is one of the wealthiest pop stars in England. Stone rose to fame with her 2003 release, “The Soul Sessions,” which went multi-platinum. Her second album, also multi-platinum, garnered Stone a Grammy nomination.

She was the youngest female British singer to have an album at No. 1 atop the U.K. Album Charts.  Her fifth album “LP1” is scheduled to be released by the end of July.
