Jim Carrey’s Anti-Gun Parody has Folks ‘Up In Arms’

It seems that Jim Carrey has everyone, especially Fox News, pretty upset. The actors new video “Cold Dead Hand”, a parody of the late former-President of the NRA, Charlton Heston, has everyone ‘up in arms’. Get it? Up in arms. Funnyordie.com released the satire 4 days ago and it already has 1.7 million views. That doesn’t even include the youtube hits. So what has people so furious? Well, aside from the fact he’s mocking a dead American icon, he’s also poking the sides of gun owners and believers in our 2nd amendment. But seriously people, what do you expect? It’s Jim Carrey. A man whose biggest cinematic accomplishments consist of playing idiots. Even his serious roles like Joel Barish in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, have comedic undertones. So why is everyone taking him so seriously? If he was so passionate and serious about gun control, do you think his plea for change would come in the form of a parody video?

Fox News The Five’s Greg Gutfeld had more than a few things to say about Jim and his most recent attempt at comedy.

“He is probably thee most pathetic tool on the face of the earth and I hope his career is dead and I hope he ends up sleeping in a car the way his life began… He’s a dirty stinking coward. He’s such a sad pathetic little freak… he’s a modern bigot.” Greg Gutfeld.

He then goes on to claim:

“What did this jackass, Jim Carrey do? He was behind the anti-vaccine panic… Jim Carrey has killed more people than all of the rifles combined. He’s a dirty stinking coward. He’s such a sad pathetic little freak… he’s a modern bigot.”

I don’t know about you, but the things being said about Jim as a result of this video are far more hateful and full of fear than anything said in the song. This wasn’t an attack on ‘rural America’. It was an attack on your sense of humor (or lack there of). If you don’t like it, just turn it off.
