“Jersey Shore” cast gets 200 percent pay raise for season 3

The tan skin, flashy style, teased and gelled hair will be sticking around a little while longer. Our favorite group of Jersey’s finest will be coming back for a third season. Yes, the cast mates have already been in negotiation with MTV for next season. These guidos and guidettes are reportedly looking forward to returning to Seaside Heights for a third round.

The notable group has made a name for themselves on network TV, being recognized for their crazy antics worldwide, they decided as a group to sign on for a third season but on their conditions. They have been in contact with the network to up their pay 200 percent.

Cast members of the hit reality show “Jersey Shore,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley,” Pauly D, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, have said they would like to do a third season before season two has even aired.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has already signed the dotted line for the third season and the rest of the group is said to follow. Their pay is reported to jump from $10,000 per episode in season two, to $30,000 an episode in season three. MTV released a statement saying, “MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on season 3…Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them.”

It is however unknown if Angelina “Jolie” Pivarnick will be returning to season 3. MTV has not released the final amount each cast member will individually make. Snooki and the Situation will be making more than their fellow cast mates.

The cast made $5,000 per episode in the first season MTV has been reluctant to increase their pay drastically due to the unknown success of season two. The hype for the second season has been so high that the network has agreed to contract changes.

The second season of Jersey Shore premiers July 29 on MTV and production for the third season begins next week.
