Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving: Grab a Sub and Donate to Charity
For your lunch break today, you can grab a sandwich and donate to charity all in the same place. Jersey Mike’s is donating 100% of its profits this Wednesday, March 29th, to local charities all across the country as part of the shops “Day of Giving” event. The company’s purpose in their donations is to give back simply to give, and what better way to do so than enjoying a sandwich at the same time.
The sales will be donated to Operation Gratitude, an organization that sends over 200,000 care packages overseas to service members, veterans, and first responders, as well as “wounded heroes” and their caretakers. The mission of Operation Gratitude is to lift the spirits of military and first responder communities, as well as provide some of their necessities. Each package sent contains products valued from $45-100, and only costs the organization $15 to assemble and ship. Since Operation Gratitude began in 2003, over $1.6M care packages have been sent out.
Last year’s “Day of Giving” raised nearly $600,000 around the state of California, and $4M for charities nationwide. Since the event started in 2010, over $20M has been raised. The more you order, the more Jersey Mike’s gives–so indulge on your meal and get all the stops, or order catering for the office.
Support this great partnership between Operation Gratitude and Jersey Mike’s today. Since more than 95% of donations to Operation Gratitude go toward their services and 100% of sub sales go to the charity, it’s an amazing opportunity to help out those in need. Tell your friends and start planning what you might order!
