Entertainer Quickie: Will Ferrell’s Guest Appearance on “The Office,” Willow Smith to Remake the Musical “Annie” and Justin Bieber’s Pricey Haircut
The Entertainer brings you today’s hot topics in a quick, no fuss format so you can get caught up and back to your day.
Actor Will Ferrell is reported to make a guest appearance on the hit comedy show, “The Office”. According to Deadline.com Ferrell will make a four-episode appearance as a branch manager of the infamous Dunder Mifflin Corporation. Ferrell apparently asked the show’s producer if he could make an appearance on the show as a fan and to help provide a great send-off for Anchorman co-star, Steve Carell.
Carell, who plays the show’s front man, Michael Scott, is leaving the sitcom before the show’s seventh-season finale. Carell hasn’t commented on Ferrell’s joining him for a short time, but in his interview on the Ellen Degeneres Show in December he did comment on his opinion of what the producer’s choice of his replacement should be. Carell stated, “I think it would be in their best interest just to sort of go in a different direction and not try to do the same type of character.”
Carell also told Degeneres he would be sad to leave the show, but feels its time to move on. While it’s a bittersweet end for both Carell and the show’s fans, the addition of the hilarious Will Ferrell is sure to make for a great end to Carell’s “Office” career.
Entertainment mogul, Jay-Z is now teaming up with Will and Jada Pinkett Smith to develop and produce movies. The Smith’s company, Overbrook Entertainment, has announced the trio’s first project, “the re-imagination of the classic Broadway musical Annie, as a vehicle for Willow Smith.”
The Smith’s all-around-famous family is extending the definition of superstardom, to their children, Jaden and Willow Smith, who are becoming young multifaceted artists. Willow Smith is already signed to Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation, and her hit single “Whip My Hair” was produced by Jay-Z and topped last years charts. It looks like these media moguls will be working together closely to ensure superstardom for the Smith’s daughter as well.
Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is known for his voice, charm, dance moves and his well-maintained haircut. However, hair that well managed apparently comes at a steep price. Vanessa Price, the woman who created his signature haircut told Life & Style Magazine that while the young star is on tour she’s the one who maintains his locks every few weeks during private house calls and the cost of this service is roughly $750. Life & Style also gathered comparative costs to similar Bieber looks and according to a Supercuts senior artist director, Melanie Ash, “prices start at $14.”
