Emma Caulfield of ‘Hills’, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Monk Files for Divorce
The attorney of the 37-year-old actress from San Diego is declining to comment, remaining quiet on details but unnamed sources are saying it’s true that Emma Caulfield has filed for divorce from her hubby of four years.
Caulfield is a San Diego native who began her acting career at a young age. In high school while she studied drama, she took parts in plays at San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse and the Old Globe Theatre, but her first notable role was as Brandon Walsh’s girlfriend, Susan Keats, on Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1995. She appeared for thirty episodes in the series before departing in 1996.
Caulfield grabbed several single episode roles on TV, and in 1998, she landed the role of the demon Anya Jenkins on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Caulfield’s role was only planned by the writers and producers to go a few episodes, but when they saw how popular she was on the show, they kept Anya as a permanent character.
In 2003, Emma landed her first lead role in the horror flick Darkness Falls, which debuted at number one in the U.S. box office. In 2004, she appeared on Monk as Meredith Preminger in the episode “Mr. Monk and the Girl Who Cried Wolf”.
On August 23, 2006, Emma Caulfield married Cornelius Grobbelaar. No one seems to know what his profession actually is. But it is known that, according to court documents on May 7, 2010, the couple separated. It is also known that on May 13, Caulfield filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. No one from either camp has been reachable for any comments.
