Donald Trump Gives Out Lindsey Graham’s Number

By  |

Republican Presidential Candidate, Donald Trump continues to make waves by reading aloud Sen. Lindsey Graham’s phone number to a crowd of about 500 on Tuesday in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Trump mentioned that in past years Graham gave Trump his business card seeking support, then Trump proceeded to insult the South Carolina Representative calling him a “total lightweight,” “stiff” and an “idiot.”

After giving out the phone number, Trump encouraged the audiences to give Graham a call, and according to multiple news stations, the number does actually belong to Graham.

Graham, handling the situation comically, responded to the situation posting this on twitter:

Trump’s attack on Graham is a result of Graham calling Trump a “jackass” on the “CBS This Morning” show. This situation leads to two very different, but valid points. The first being a potentially positive point, and a point that many Americans can find honorable in a way, which is this: If you mess with me (which would be the U.S. if he won the presidency), then you expect immediate retaliation. And the second point, which is more of a question: is there anything that Donald Trump won’t do or say? The candidate has been picking up quite a bit of steam, but it has been through is use of finding a “tone.” A tone that has seemed to alienate certain people and groups of people. For example:

1. Calling Mexican Immigrants criminals and rapists.

The actual quote by Trump was “They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people.”

2. Saying John McCain is not a true war hero.

Saying things like John McCain is not a war hero because he was captured is sure to ruffle the feathers of many including McCain, veterans and current soldiers.

These are just a few examples, but it looks like audiences will just have to wait and see what other strong opinions come out of Donald Trump’s mouth.
