Demi Lovato Enters Rehab

Last week, Demi Lovato, who recently turned 18, reportedly has checked herself into a Chicago rehabilitation center. Speculations have been flying that Lovato needed help with the habit of cutting herself and eating disorder tendencies. Lovato has pulled out of her current tour with the Jonas Brothers and released a statement that she had to resolve some personal issues.

It has been reported that the day before she entered rehab, she was involved with a heated argument with one of her dancers at a rehearsal for the tour. Lovato realized that it was abnormal for her to be as confrontational and hot-headed as she was. She then decided to seek help.

The underlying reasons for her decision is still unclear. Some have reported that the break up with her most recent boyfriend, Joe Jonas, has affected her more than anyone realized as she felt Joe used her as a publicity stunt. Others say the cause is the build-up of frustration after being the victim of constant bullying at her high school. There also have been rumors that she was seen hooking up with Wilmer Valderrama in the days before she checked into rehab but Wilmer has denied these rumors’ validity.

At first, her parents were surprised at her decision. Now, Lovato has reportedly been improving in her rehabilitation sessions, according to her father. He claims that her rehab entry has no connection with physical harm inflicted upon herself. He also thanks Disney and Lovato’s many fans for their constant support in her recovery.

Demi Lovato is a tween sensation who starred in the Disney hit “Camp Rock”. She is also is the main character in Disney’s TV show “Sonny with a Chance”. Aside from acting, Lovato is a talented singer with hits such as Don’t Forget and Here We Go Again.
