Chris Pratt and Anna Farris Announce Separation

After eight years of marriage, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have decided to legally separate. The ex-couple, who shares a son together, took to social media to announce the news.

Chris Pratt wrote the same message on Facebook and Instagram to announce the separation.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward,” he wrote. “We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

They signed the message collectively as “Chris Pratt and Anna Faris.”

Pratt and Faris met on the set of the film, ‘Take Me Home Tonight’ in 2007. When they were growing up, they actually only lived 20 minutes away from each other when they attended Washington State, but didn’t meet until they were adults in Los Angeles. Once Faris Split with her husband at the time, Pratt made it clear that he would do just about anything to marry her.

In an AMA interview on Reddit in 2015, Pratt said, “Anna and I are meant to be together. Our relationship has made me believe in divine intervention and destiny.”

Pratt is also known for his iconic role of Andy Dwyer on NBC’s ‘Parks and Recreation’ and big screen role in “Guardians of the Galaxy.’ Faris is most notably known for her roles in the movies, ‘House Bunny’ and ‘Scary Movie.’

The couple shares a four-year-old son together, so they are hoping to keep the separation in private from now on. Regardless of their attempt, the break-up is now trending on Twitter and the news is circulating through Instagram and Facebook.
