Chargers Move to 6-5 with Win Over Colts

By  |

With a big win on the road against the Indianapolis Colts, the Chargers break the .500 mark and move to 6-5 overall.

The Chargers’ 6-5 record puts them in second place in the AFC West, just one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Bolts will look to extend their four-game winning streak as they look ahead to upcoming home games against the Oakland Raiders and the Chiefs.

In the game against the Colts, the Chargers defense was able to control Peyton Manning and even force him into one of his worst performances.  Manning was uncharacteristically picked off 4 times, two of which were returned by the Chargers for touchdowns.

Two defensive touchdowns combined with a career high 5 field-goals for Nate Kaeding and a touchdown by running-back Mike Tolbert added up to a 36-14 win for the Chargers.  The Chargers have beaten the Colts five of the last six times the two teams have met, including twice in the playoffs.

After a slow start (even for the Chargers) of 2-5 this season, it seems the Bolts are finally back on track and looking to make a push into the playoffs.  It looks promising for the Chargers especially since they enter Dec. knowing that they have not lost a game in the month since Phillip Rivers took over as the starting quarterback.
