Beyonce and Jay-Z Announce Their New World Tour: On The Run II
Queen Bey and Jay are back with a vengeance. The powerful musical duo and beloved married couple just announced that they’ll be touring again together this year. The first stop on their On The Run II Tour is in Cardiff, U.K. on June 6th. After this initial appearance, the soulful singers will make 15 more stops in cities across the U.K. and Europe. The final leg of their tour will be in North America, with 21 cities already on the roster.
The OTR II Tour comes after Beyonce and Jay-Z’s On The Run Tour in 2014, which brought in a massive $109 million in ticket sales. The tremendous success of this tour was enough to inspire an HBO concert special bearing the same name.
Before the first On The Run Tour, Bey and Jay released their own popular solo albums in 2013: “Beyonce” and “Magna Carta Holy Grail”. Ever since then, the two artists have sent shockwaves into the world of pop culture with their new album releases. In 2016, Beyonce discussed her marital issues with Jay-Z in her album, “Lemonade.” Meanwhile, Jay-Z made history with his 2017 album, “4:44”, which was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys.
Aside from their impressive musical accomplishments, Bey and Jay have recently experienced quite a bit of excitement in their personal lives. The two celebrated the birth of their twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, in June 2017.
To this day, the famous couple continues to make a significant impact on the lives of others. Both Beyonce and Jay-Z have encouraged others to be active and speak up about important political matters. Queen Bey continues to advocate for transgender youth rights, while Jay has been supporting the fight against mass incarceration and drugs.
Beyonce and Jay-Z are back touring again with their On The Run II Tour, coming to San Diego’s SDCCU Stadium Sept. 27, 2018. Additional shows on schedule for LA and Santa Clara. Tickets go on sale soon – don’t miss out on this epic performance!
