Amanda Bynes’ Twitter Rampage

What has Amanda Bynes been up to since her Nickelodeon days? After The Amanda Show, the  starlet moved on to the movie screen, staring in “Hairspray” and “She’s the Man”. The peppy star even moved on to play a lead role in “What I Like About You,” a tv series on The WB. But recently this star has been getting attention for different reasons.

In 2007 Bynes spoke out claiming “I like to dance and stuff, but drinking isn’t good for you in any way. It’s not good for your skin; it makes you feel horrible. So, drinking-wise, no” and said she instead liked being with her friends and family. In 2012 Bynes was charged with driving under the influence as well as a few more offences later in the year.

Bynes is back in the spotlight again; this time for her recent raunchy tweets. Towards the end of March, Amanda Bynes tweeted a photo of her new double cheek piercings, causing a barrage of OMG and WTFs along with over 500 retweets. To round out her newer edgier style, Bynes also dyed her hair platinum blonde, a bit reminiscent of Miley Cyrus’ tranformation.

The surprises don’t stop here. Bynes has also been slamming her ex Kid Cudi, and sending a provocative message to Drake, whom she’s called a “hot fellow.”

The greatest shock to all her followers and fans was the video that she tweeted Monday night with the caption “I’m Sucking On A Sour Patch Kid Listening To Music Getting Ready For Tonight. ”

This video is a bit unsettling to say the least, displaying just about a minute of Bynes with hot pink lipstick, blue eye shadow and unkempt platinum hair. Bynes spends the video pursing her lips and making odd faces in the mirror. When confronted with the criticism and concern, Bynes replies “I’m obsessed with myself on Twitter,” and “Also, my video last night was perfection.”

Whether Amanda Bynes is simply trying to break free from her good girl image or really does need help like some fans are claiming, only time will tell. For now Amanda, you’ve got our attention!
