The Bling Ring Trailer
Oscar Award winner Sofia Coppola, director of Lost in Translation, is sparking major interest for her new film entitled The Bling Ring after releasing its official trailer last Tuesday. The story is inspired by real-life events in Hollywood and depicts a group of fame-obsessed teens who party with celebrities and rob their homes to collect expensive and beautiful things to feel like the celebrities they admire.
Throughout the film these teens rob the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox but eventually get caught by Law Enforcement and have to face the public with their testimony, virtually becoming a celebrity of their own. Featuring actress Emma Watson, who puts on an American accent to capture the essence of a fame-obsessed American teen, and co starring Israel Broussard, Taissa Farmiga and newcomer Katie Chang, The Bling Ring offers us a juicy glimpse into the wild and crazy world of these teens and how Hollywood celebrities have affected their lifestyles, including their outlook for reality.
From the trailer below, it is evident that The Bling Ring is going to look quite flashy and capture the party filled, naughty behind closed doors, fame-obsessed teen lifestyle that we don’t get to see everyday, thanks to Director of Photography Harris Savides, who unfortunately passed away on October 9th, 2012. His work also includes cinematography for Milk, American Gangster and Zodiac to name a few.
The Bling Ring was filmed in California and Nevada specifically in Los Angeles, Venice Beach, Palmdale, Calabasas, Zuma Beach and Las Vegas, offering scenic locations that represent the epitome of the rich and famous.
Enjoy the trailer and look forward to The Bling Ring coming June 14, 2013.
