Spider-Man: Homecoming Official Trailer
The third round of the Spider-Man saga is coming this summer on July 7th, and we’re hoping three series’ of movies is the charm for this webbed superhero. We got to see our new Peter Parker (played by British actor Tom Holland) in action in Captain America: Civil War last year, and fans were impressed with the performance. Now he gets his very own film to show off his stuff in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
For this reboot, we won’t see Peter go through his origin story–no more scenes of radioactive spiders, or mourning the death of Uncle Ben. He gets thrown right into the action, with Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) as a mentor. Both he and Spidey take on the Vulture (Michael Keaton), a villain who operates with dangerous weapons New York City has never seen before. Aunt May gets a new twist too, played by Marisa Tomei, a younger actress than the Aunt Mays of the past.
Along with this flying supervillain with a knack for vengeance, Peter is set to struggle with his identity as a young man and Spider-Man, as well as deal with the consequences of his actions. In the trailer, when talking to Tony about his latest attempt to save the day, Peter says:
“I’m nothing without this suit!”
And Tony replies;
“If you’re nothing without that suit, then you shouldn’t have it.”
Watch the full official trailer below and start counting down the days until July 7th. (Only 100 days to go!)
