‘Mother’ Official trailer

If the teaser wasn’t enough to get you excited for the new horror film, ‘Mother,’ the official trailer definitely will. In the teaser, Lawrence was shown shouting “you’re insane!” and screaming with terror at alarming sights, but the official trailer took her horror to the next level and further explained what the plot is going to be all about.

In the first full trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Mother,’ everything that could possibly go wrong goes wrong. Even though it starts out with two love birds, Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem, moving into an elegant home, the rest of the trailer increases with anticipation and scary hurdles that we assume cannot end well.

First, the couple is disrupted by two guests, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer, and Lawrence’s husband becomes extensively abnormal shortly after the guests arrive. Lawrence starts to see visions and becomes more and more haunted. We can only assume that this movie will potentially end badly for one, if not multiple characters considering the blood and gore seen in the trailer.

Aronofsky is known for his film, ‘Black Swan,’ and it seems as though this movie might echo some of that psychological thriller’s tone and perturbing imagery. If it’s anything like ‘Black Swan,’ we are expecting it to be a successful yet scary one.

However, some people are unsettled by Lawrence and Bardem’s significant age gap. In fact, one tweeter even said, “Just one thing, Javier Bardem is 48 and Jennifer Lawrence is 26. Can we please stop doing this in movies, please? It’s so creepy and weird.” Lawrence has been in other movies paired with older male actors, such as, Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper.

‘Mother’ officially comes out this Sept. 5. If you’re interested in horror films like we are, we think this might be the movie to be most excited for coming soon.
