Khloé Kardashian launched denim line, Good American
Khloé Kardashian has a new clothing line and it seems to already be a huge success. On October 18th, the youngest Kardashian sister launched a denim line called Good American, which focuses on bodies of all shapes and sizes.
Khloe launched her new line in front of hundreds of fans at an event hosted by Nordstrom in LA’s popular shopping center, The Grove.
The idea behind the Kardashian jeans was that the industry continues to fail at including clothing sizes that can fit all bodies. There are lines focused on curvier figures and there are lines that are for more petite frames, but they usually aren’t within the same brand.
Khloé hopes that the launch of her line will inspire the market to follow suit with Good American’s sizing model to expand what is available to women.
Many people struggle with finding jeans that fit their exact body type, which is exactly what Khloé was trying to avoid when creating her line. When women are able to see that one brand carries such an array of sizes and shapes, it helps make women feel as confident as they should be.
The website states, “Good American is a denim focused fashion brand designed for a curvier, sexier and stronger shape.” The site claims that they are focused on having a strong impact on the community and want to support charities that empower women to realize their potential.
The sizes of the pants range from 0 – 24 and feature various waistbands, stitching details and sizing options to give each pair a fit that will flatter any curve. The prices follow the designer standards and range from $149 to $200, but many consumers are already stating that the price is well worth it.
The site is already seeing many styles sell out since the launch yesterday but don’t worry, they are also sold at Nordstrom stores.
Now, I’m not sure about you, but I am happy to see a designer brand focused on making women feel confident and powerful. We can only hope other brands will follow in making more sizing and fit options.
