YachtFest San Diego 2009
This year marks the 10th anniversary for YachtFest, the West Coast’s premier boutique yacht show. YachtFest, presented by San Diego Marine Exchange, will take place September 17-20 at Shelter Island Marina.
CNN recently ranked San Diego has as the “new super-yacht capital.” Surprised? Attracting visitors around the world, YachtFest sets the stage and showcases San Diego as a top destination for yachting enthusiasts.
“Our 10th annual event will entice yachting enthusiasts to sail toward America’s Finest City,” said Doug Sharp, YachtFest Board Chair. “YachtFest is the foremost place in the Western United States to buy, sell or charter one of these premium yachts; not to mention one of the classiest venues to step aboard a glamorous first-class superyacht.”
More than $60 million of super yachts, specialized planes, cars, and accessories will be featured at this event. Visitors can be up close and personal, boarding exquisite yachts and viewing exhibits of this luxurious lifestyle. Attendees can also gain exclusive access to luxury goods and yachting products in a VIP hospitality environment.
On September 17 the festival will feature its 4th annual “All Decked Out” fashion show benefiting San Diego Armed Services YMCA.
Mark your calendars to experience this highly anticipated event. YachtFest will take place at the Island Palms Hotel and Marina at 2051 Shelter Island Drive. The event will be open September 17-19 from 11am-6pm and September 20 from 11am-4pm.
Ticket prices vary, starting at $34 for General Access tickets. Children 14 and under are free with a paying adult and active or retired military will receive a 50 percent discount with I.D. For more information, you can go to the YachtFest website.
