This Weekend in San Diego 9/15-9/17

The weekend is your time to relax. San Diego can bring you some of the best night life, and other fun activities that you and your family and friends can enjoy. Fill your weekend with memories, starting on Friday with at Cask Ale Night. Celebrate and honor craft beers with the special brew of the week. Jeff Josenhans is joining forces with a new local brewery every week to bring you new culture with beer, every weekend. Every Friday when the clock strikes 4pm, you can indulge in a new cask ale, starting at just $8. Located at Grant Grill, you can create a night of drinking beer, and enjoying your Friday night after a long week at work. You can also enjoy the new cocktail menu, and embrace the tasty bites.

If you like your weekends filled with booze, continue the fun at Sights and Sips, a cruise on the Bay with a glass of bubbly in one hand, and delicious food in the other. Tickets to attend at $37.50 and the party starts at 5:30pm on Friday. Enjoy delicious hand crafted cocktails, and the musical entertainment.

If your idea of the perfect night is to drink wine and paint beautiful creations, you need to try out the Moonlight Angels Auxiliary Paint and Wine Party. You will be able to sample 6 different wine along with 50 other guests. This class will also help the Moonlight Cultural Foundation. You can make a reservation for you and all your friends, and enjoy your unique Friday night. The class is $45 and starts promptly at 6:00pm. Try something new, and be adventurous with your wine and paint party.

After you’ve enjoyed your Friday night of painting classes and fun beverages, you can wakeup Saturday morning at 7am and make your way down to the Dempsey Holder Ocean Festival and Surf Contest.  On September 16^th you can be a part of this contest that keeps the memory of Allan Dempsey Holder alive and thriving. Allan was a magnificent surfer who was also a lifeguard. You can help support the ocean, and keep the memory of this surfer and lifeguard alive with your presence and support. There are many different age heats for everyone to participate in, and participating only costs $40.

Once you’ve gotten your share of surfing for the day, you can do your favorite Saturday activity: shopping at the local Scripps Ranch Farmers’ Market. This ongoing activity starts at 9am, and will have your taste buds tingling. From fresh fruit, to over 65 different vendors, this 14 year long farmers’ market will not disappoint. Rain or shine, you can always count on this farmers’ market to bring you joy and satisfaction. This is a perfect Saturday morning activity for the whole family to enjoy, and will start your weekend on a positive note. Come and enjoy the flowers, endless food, and unique jewelry.

End your weekend adventures at the Ultimate Woman’s Expo. You can feel inspiration in every corner, and enjoy clothing, food, makeup, and other things that every woman will enjoy. Melissa Rivers, Mariel Hemingway, and Brooke Burke will be speaking, and spreading their wisdom throughout the expo. This is every girl’s dream, including makeovers, massages, and a girl’s best friend: food. This is the ultimate girl’s outing, so make a girl’s day out of it with your best friends. The expo is from 11am-5pm on Saturday, and you won’t want to miss the the seminar and drink tastings that are also a part of this ultimate girl’s day.
