Evita August 18th
Enjoy a night at the theatre, watching the beautiful story of Evita be told through musical talent. This incredible true story follows the life of Eva Peron and her ambition that started when she was 22 years old, as a starlet. This musical tells her story of her short, but very remembered life, of being the Presidents “other woman” at 24, and First Lady by 27. Her impactful presence is remembered and honored in this powerful woman who has been unforgettable. The show runs until August 27th, and tickets start at $20.
Summergrass Festival August 18th-20th
This three-day music festival is held in Vista at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum. There will be performances by Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass, Sideline, and Chris Jones & The Night Drivers, with many other performances. With tickets at affordable ticket prices, this an event you won’t want to miss out on. There are also camping opportunities, so that you can be a part of the festival and music all weekend long. One day tickets start at $25 and a three-day pass starts at $85.
Amanda Haas: Anti-Inflammation Cookbook August 18th
Eat clean and know what to put into your body, for the best effects on how to shred away your unwanted pounds. Amanda Haas has put her creative mind with Dr. Bradley Jacobs to create a cookbook that shows people exactly what to eat for a clean diet. There are 65 Anti-Inflammation recipes for you to try, and she’s doing a book signing this Friday at University Town Center, with tickets starting at $30.
Latin Food Fest August 18th – August 19th
Indulge in delicious food and amazing culture at one of the largest Hispanic celebrations. There will be delightful food tastings, celebrity chef dinners, and workshops so that you can learn the craft of creating meals. Also included in this cultural festival is The Gran Tasting that allows you to taste wine and beers, and allows you to enjoy cultural music and cooking demonstrations. Tickets start at $29.
Messages from Above with Monica the Medium August 18th
Monica Ten-Kate has her own spiritual show on ABC family, and is coming to San Diego to do readings for people who are curious about loved ones in the afterlife. This medium will be hosting a night of messages and spiritual insight at the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living. Tickets start at $59 and will spark certain skeptics’ interest.
Old Town Temecula Certified Famer’s Market August 19th
This ongoing farmers market is on Saturdays from 8am-12:30 pm and will start you weekend off in a delicious way. Stroll through the historic town, while enjoying tasty foods and fresh produce. You can also enjoy the antique shops that are located in Old Town, while exploring this extraordinary Farmer’s Market, creating the perfect family day.
How to Create a Podcast with Adam Greenfield August 19th
If you have always had a lot to say, and want to share your opinions with the world, creating a podcast may be high on your list of things to achieve. Adam Greenfield is teaching a two session course on how to prepare yourself, so that you can make a mistake-free podcast. He will show you how to conduct interviews, branding, and how to format your overall show. Tickets start at $60 and will be held at The Ink Spot.
TwainFest August 19th
Embrace your inner bookworm by celebrating with the Write Out Loud company, that will be celebrating Mark Twain this Saturday. Other writers from the 19th century will also be celebrated such as Emily Dickinson, Harriet Breecher, and Edgar Allan Poe. There will be interactive games, and you can further celebrate your favorite authors.
