Party Places: Start your weekend tonight with these amazing events
Although the summer concert season is wrapping up there are still tons of great events for San Diegan’s to enjoy. Amidst the hustle and bustle of going back to school we all know how important it is to make time to hang with friends and catch your favorite bands.
The line up of things to do in San Diego over the next couple days is very exciting. The Entertainer has some tips of where to party, starting tonight and continuing into the weekend.
This evening, Thursday, September 10th
Do not miss the 19th annual San Diego Music Awards with live performances by Players Inc, Scarlet Symphony, Get Back Loretta, Steph Johnson, Burning of Rome, Silent Comedy and the San Diego Blues All Stars.
Doors open at 6PM at the Viejas Concerts in the Park with tickets ranging between $25-$75

Also performing this evening is Shwayze at the House of Blues. Sycuan Presents Shwayze with Far East Movement, Cold Flamez, Beardo, Chris Young, & DJ Jason Smith. Friday, September 11th
If you have not caught the announcements for the Local Music Alliance presented by the Entertainer, now is your chance the join in the movement.
Launching tomorrow is the first FREE monthly Local Music Alliance downloadable play list featuring ten songs from local San Diego bands. Along with the presentation of the playlist and friendly band competition will be a show at Soda Bar in North Park. Bands performing live include Demasiado, Irradio, Life in Orbit and out-of-towners Ape Machine (Portland, OR).
For those that aren’t familiar, the North Park scene is bursting with great shows, drink specials and cool vibes at laid back venues. Come check it out tomorrow night at Soda Bar, located 3615 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92104.

Saturday, September 12th
“Party for a better future” this Saturday with Philanthro Productions at the W Hotel in the enticing Urban Oasis. Your attendance, raffle purchases, and silent auction bids will aid Planet Cancer which aims to bring awareness and help young adults suffering from cancer.
