San Diego Zoo Safari Park invites all to its Summer Safari
The Summer Safari at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park is in full swing.
Summer Safari runs now through August 18th. It’s an extravaganza of African dance, music and more.
Join all of our African dancers, acrobats, jugglers, and more with this action-packed event!
Acrobatic Troupe
When: 12:30–6:30 p.m intermittently throughout the day.
Where: Safari Base Camp
A variety of entertaining acts throughout the day including African dancing, foot juggling, pole climbing, ladder act, jar act, rolla rolla, hula hoops, bouncing juggling, and more!
Musical Entertainment
When: 12:30–6:00 p.m. intermittently throughout the day.

Pole Climbing Acrobats
When: 1, 3, 4, and 5:30 p.m.

Drum Show

Elephant Keeper Talk
When: 1:30 p.m. daily

Hear stories about our amazing elephant herd from the Elephant Viewing Patio.
Shiley’s Cheetah Run
When: 3:30 p.m.
Where: Lion Camp
Witness the fastest land mammal up close and personal doing what it does best: run! If you’re close enough, you may feel the wind as the cheetah passes by.
Animal Encounters

Frequent Flyers

Where: Benbough Amphitheater
Frequent Flyers offers spectacular flights and focuses on a variety of birds from around the world. You’ll find this program engaging as you watch birds free flying, offering a chance to see the feathered cast’s natural talents. With over 40 different species and growing, no two shows are the same. Frequent Flyers is full of great fun, natural history, fantastic stories, and, of course, lots of birds!
Life-size Lion & Elephant Puppets
When: 12:15–5:15 p.m.
Where: Safari Base Camp
For a “roaring” good time, be sure to check out our life-size lion and elephant puppets making their way through the Park, providing a wonderful photo opportunity and lasting memories.
