San Diego Weekend Events: Head to the shore for some seaside (and snorkeling) fun all weekend long!
It’s a great weekend to live in Southern California. Despite summer closing out, a multitude of amazing events are happening around San Diego. We live in one of the few places where residents and visitors can spend a morning snorkeling with leopard sharks, revel in fine art the afternoon, and enjoy a live concert at night. Take advantage of these wonderful weekend opportunities!
Thursday, September 9
Support your San Diego Padres at Petco Park as they start off a four game series tonight at 7pm against the San Francisco Giants.
A lucky bunch of San Diegans get to soak up the sun at Humphrey’s By The Bay with Grammy-winning artist Sheryl Crow as she plays a sold out concert at 7:30pm tonight. If you missed out on tickets, don’t worry. Another great concert is available at Anthology featuring contemporary jazz guitarist Chris Standring.

More music can be enjoyed at Anthology as Lalah Hathaway, daughter of the famous soul singer Donnie Hathaway, as she sings her R&B chart toppers including “Forever, For Always, For Love.”
Wouldn’t it be nice to just listen to some classic American rock music? Well, head over to Humphrey’s By the Bay to get some good vibrations with The Beach Boys at 7:30 pm or get another chance to listen to the music of The Doobie Brothers at the Pechanga Resort and Casino.

Get an awesome early start on your day with a Snorkeling Adventure! Hang out with the fine people at the Birch Aquarium as they had down to the La Jolla Shores to Snorkel with Sharks! That’s right! Get up close and personal with coastal sea life from 8am-10am.

Boasting 7 stages, 26 bands, and 60 artists, including Marcia Ball and the Charlie Hunter Trio, the OB Music Fest will surely be quite the spectacle from 11am to 7pm.
