The Entertainer will be bringing you weekly installments of SAN DIEGO THIS WEEKEND, our new segment featuring fun events happening throughout San Diego over the weekend. Check back for coverage of events big and small. There’s something for everyone’s tastes!

CONCERTS

SNOW PATROL + PLAIN WHITE T’S  CONCERT

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN UNDER THE STARS

The movie is completely FREE. It will play outside, so bring a blanket and a coat to cozy up with that certain someone. Arrive early to reserve your seat.

TIME: Friday OCT 16, 7 PM. Movie starts at 8 PM.

GHOSTLY GOOD TIMES AT OLD TOWN SAN DIEGO

Halloween Ghost Tours in Old Town are only $5 for children and $10 for adults. Get your tickets at the Robinson/Rose Visitor Center or online.

DANCING

BALLROOM DANCE LESSON + PARTY + PIZZA

This month’s lessons feature the foxtrot. $5 admission includes pizza. Price is $3 for students.

SALSA AT TANGO DEL REY

Two wooden dance floors, a restaurant, and bar service available for ages 18+. Cover is $8 and there is free parking.

TIME: Friday OCT 16 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM

7:00 pm – Argentine Tango Intro class for beginners (second floor)
7:30 pm – Salsa dance class beginners/intermediate
8:15 pm – Bachata dance class beginners/intermediate (dance classes by Walter Eduardo Meneses)
8:45 pm – Open Dancing with DJ Sonrisa Latina
10:00 pm – Dance Performance
10:15 pm – Open Dancing with DJ Sonrisa Latina
