San Diego Symphony runs away with The Cirque
San Diego Symphony runs away with the Cirque as it performs with Cirque de la Symphonie, July 31 – Aug. 1, as part of the annual Summer Pops at the Embarcadero Marina Park.
Combine well-known classical music with one of the most popular acrobatics shows in the world, and the result is a brilliant blend of two beautiful art forms. From soaring aerial artists to superhuman strongmen along with jugglers and more, bring the whole family and prepare to be dazzled by the Cirque de la Symphonie!
Cirque de la Symphonie is a new production formed to bring the magic of cirque to the music hall. It is an exciting adaptation of artistic performances widely seen in theaters and arenas everywhere, and it showcases many of the best cirque artists in the world, bedazzling the audience with aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers, and strongmen.
These are some of the most accomplished veterans of Cirque du Soleil and other exceptional cirque programs throughout the world. The artists are the best in the business at what they do, and they include world record holders, gold-medal winners of international competitions, and some of the most original talent seen anywhere. Their performances are uniquely adapted to stage accommodations shared by symphonies, and each artist’s performance is choreographed to the music arrangement provided by the maestro.
Adding Cirque de la Symphonie to a pops program provides an extra dimension of entertainment for all to enjoy.
