San Diego Beer Festivals to Checkout This Summer
There’s no better pairing than San Diego sunshine and a cold brew. This summer there are many beer-centric events that both novice and experienced beer drinkers will thoroughly enjoy.
San Diego Beer Fest
Saturday June 20th, 2015, head to Liberty Station for the 5th annual San Diego Brew Fest. The event will feature dozens of local local and international craft beers, as well as San Diego’s most popular food trucks. Admission is $40 for general admission (2pm to 5pm) and $50 for VIP (1pm to 5pm) and includes all tastings.
The San Diego Brew Fest’s proceeds will benefit Noah’s B-ark Pet Rescue whose aim is to rescue dogs from shelters and find permanent homes for rescued pets.
Beer & Sake Festival at Harrah’s Resort Southern California
Celebrate the 13th Annual Beer & Sake Festival at Harrah’s Resort Southern California on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 7 – 10 p.m. You’ll be able to enjoy over 100 varieties of sake, local craft beers and delicious appetizers from Celebrity Chef Tatsu-Ya.
This unique event supports educational programs provided the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana. The event will feature captivating entertainment and artisan booths, a silent auction and raffle. Tickets are available for $40 for members and $60 for non-members. Hotel rooms at Harrah’s Resort are also available for special festival prices.
Heroes Brew Fest
Love comics and super heros? Love Beer? Then this one’s for you. The Heroes Brew Fest features over 40 breweries and 80 craft beers, a costume contest, and more. The event benefits the Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station. which is a leading force in assisting, honoring and supporting the military men and women who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country. The event will be held Saturday, July 11th with VIP admission from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm and general admission 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
San Diego International Beer Festival
This June 19-21, 2015, head down to the Fairgrounds and drink to summer! The San Diego International Beer Festival has become one of the largest festivals in the country. In 2014 more than 200 breweries from 11 countries competed for awards and nearly 11,000 beer lovers tasted over 400 varieties of beers and ciders.
Your ticket to the festival also includes admission the San Diego County Fair, so make a day of drinking, exhibits, games, animals and entertainment.
Stone Celebration and International Beer Festival
This August 14-15, 2015, join fellow brewers and beer enthusiasts for the Stone’s 19th Anniversary Celebration and International Beer Festival. There will be over 60 guest breweries and 100+ amazing beers on tap. The event is three days, so you can get exactly what you want, whether that’s the Friday night brewers reception, a half-day Saturday or full day Saturday pass.
San Diego Festival of Beer
Be patient, my friend, ‘for this September 18 marks the 21st San Diego Festival of Beer. This year aims to be the biggest and best festival yet. The event will take place on the Broadway Pier and will feature live music and nearly 60 different breweries serving up 120 varieties of brews.
Tickets aren’t for sale yet, but they will include admission, unlimited (2 oz) tastes and the first 1,500 guests receive a free souvenir mug. Mark your calendars and help raise money for San Diego Professionals Against Cancer.
