San Diego Band ‘Oh, Spirit’ to Play Soda Bar Sat., Apr. 5
One of San Diego’s best up-and-coming bands will be headlining at Soda Bar this Saturday, April 5. If you’ve not heard of them, listen up, because they’ll be making stops at many local watering holes over the next few months and you won’t want to miss them.
Oh, Spirit quickly made a name for themselves after coming together in 2012. They’ve played a wide range of venues from Ocean Beach to North Park, Normal Heights, Downtown and more. Band members Ian Owen (guitar/vocals), Ryan Combs (guitar/vocals), Jesse Bowen (bass), Simon Griffith (keys) and Tyler Ward (drums) produce a wonderfully eclectic sound combining 60’s influences with modern indie rock.
There is never any doubt when going to an Oh, Spirit show that you’ll be thoroughly entertained. Fantastic songwriting, catchy melodies, and a great vibe come together to leave you humming along for hours after the show.
Want a little taste of what’s to come? Here’s their latest, called “Wheel” (Warning: you may be able to get this song out of your head):
Saturday’s show features Michael Mcgraw and the Butchers as well as the Diatribes. See them and Oh, Spirit for a guaranteed good time at Soda Bar. The show is the band’s headlining debut and they’ll also be releasing a new digital single.
Follow the band on Facebook for the latest news and concert dates.
Soda Bar is located at 3615 El Cajon Blvd., San Diego, California 92104 and tickets are $5 at the door.
