Honor American Heroes this Saturday
This Saturday, July 27th, Philanthro is honoring American Veterans with a very special event at Knotty Barrel in downtown. Proceeds from the event benefit Freedom Dogs, a 100% volunteer run non-profit dedicated to supporting service members suffering from PTSD.
To participate, visit Knotty Barrel from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Saturday and 15% of all bar sales will benefit Freedom Dogs. You can also purchase an optional ticket to receive 10% off your final food and drink bill. It’s that easy. Just show up, have a few beers and some food and you’ll be helping veterans in need.
Not only is this a great opportunity to do some good with your Saturday, but you get to check out one of San Diego’s best beer bars. Knotty Barrel is one of the East Village’s newest Gastropubs. They feature locally-sourced food and a selection of over 100 local, domestic and imported beers from around the world, including over twenty craft beers on tap.
By attending you will be participating in the fourth-annual All-City event from Philanthro, a nonprofit that engages young professionals with philanthropy through social, volunteer and leadership activities. As part of the All-City event, “All for One,” events will be hosted by Philanthro chapters in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle. For more information on the San Diego chapter, visit their Facebook page.
Stephanie Dang, Chief Marketing Officer for Philanthro said, “We are aiming to make one big impact in one day by supporting veterans in our chapter’s communities. Veterans have sacrificed a lot for our country, and many are in need of health, economic and other assistance.”
Philanthro continues the legacy of donating 100% net profits from events to beneficiaries, which means all profits made at the Knotty Barrel will be donated directly to Freedom Dogs.
Freedom Dogs is speeding recovery and enhancing the lives of wounded military heroes through the use of specialty-trained service dogs. Your contribution will help support the training and care of these highly-trained service dogs and programs to aid veterans afflicted by PTSD.
San Diego resident for over 10 years, I now call this beautiful city home. Originally from the Bay Area, I'm a California girl at heart. I love the outdoors, fitness, food, and a good craft beer (from San Diego of course).
