With the Memorial Day weekend kickoff just 24 hours away it’s time to start planning the debauchery. Most people in San Diego have the privilege of a three day weekend with Monday off in observance of Memorial Day.

Being that a three day weekend is the most perfect time to rock out and worry less about the hangover you’re bound to enjoy, check out these hot night and day ideas in San Diego!

For those who are already feeling thirsty this Thursday and will be starting the party tonight, there’s definitely a great place to do it. Tomorrow night, Friday, May 28th at Ivy check out the G-Star Raw and Saco Salon Fashion Show. Arrive before 10PM to enjoy 5 wine tastings for $5 at Ivy’s wine bar. Guest list is free before 11PM, and the venue has three levels including an ambient rooftop. Mash up and hip hop music will be spinning all night from DJ’s Este, Chris Cutz and Scooter. After you enjoy some early morning Mimosa’s to recover from your Friday night, put on your sexy swim suit and head to the hottest Saturday pool party at Hard Rock. Six playboy bunnies will be hosting the party and Deadmau5 tickets will be given away each hour.

Deadmau5 performs at Intervention Sundays at Hard Rock. The Deadmau5 “Unhooked” event is completely sold out so this is your last opportunity to grab some giveaway tickets. Enjoy Saturday evening at San Diego hot spot Stingaree with Jason Derulo performing live. Jason Derulo has exploded onto the air waves with his recent top ten hits “Whatcha say” and “In my head.” A little known fact is that Jason Derulo was actually a song writer before launching his solo career and has written for Birdman, Cassie, Pleasure P, among others.

SUNDAY NIGHT

With no work the next day you have no excuse to stay in! There’s tons of fun events that will leave your Memorial Day weekend rage satisfied.

  • For the official kick off of summer, Wavehouse has teamed with San Diego Young Professionals and the owners of Voyuer to bring a very special event. Enjoy the beach side venue for a Sunday Funday starting at 12p. Headlining DJ’s are world famous LA Riots and Dirty South at Wave House and in Sound Wave, the dance club of Wave House you can catch DJ’s Conner Shean and DJ Goods. Buy your pre-sale tickets here and enjoy entrance at Sound Wave; which allows you to avoid the anticipated extremely long lines at Wave House.
  • Stingaree presents The Killers movie premier. The Killers, starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl, hits theaters next Friday, June 4th but get the advance feel with the release party at Stingaree starting at 9p. Guest list is free before 10:30p;  sign up here for consideration.
  • Chic Gaslamp spot Side Bar hosts the official Fortune after pool party with Charles Feelgood. Check out Side Bar’s new lighting system and listen to Feelgood’s house beats in a seemingly less hectic Sunday night event. Opening up the night artists Theron & DeVoy.
