Fifth Annual San Diego Spirits Festival
The Fifth Annual San Diego Spirits Festival will feature cocktails, culinary delights and entertainment from around the world. Including Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil. Vince will be in town next weekend, sitting in a Vegas-style setup in the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier. But why? Why, to unveil his new Tatuado Vodka.
The San Diego Spirits Festival, which attracts 4,000+ visitors to San Diego’s 52,000 square-foot Port Pavilion on the Broadway Pier each year, takes place August 24 and 25. They’ll have bartenders battling, chefs “chefing,” professional burlesque dancers from San Diego’s Drop Dead Dames (one of the women is a third generation burlesque dancer who learned from her grandma!!) and more.
And Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil will unveil his new Tatuado Vodka.
There’ll be top liquor brands coming from across the U.S. and internationally.
The 4,000 attendees over the two-day festival last year generated in excess of 1,000 hotel room bookings. A 2012 survey showed that over 25 percent of all festival attendees stayed at least one night downtown, and we’re encouraging this year’s attendees to extend their stay through hotel partnerships. Average room rates were in excess of $200 per night. Spirits Festival attendees are known for being flamboyant in their restaurant expenditures, furthering their impact on the local economy.
One of the metrics of the event’s success has been the steady increase in the number of brands participating. In 2012, 60 brands were represented. There will be upwards of 100 liquor companies at the event.
With the expanded diversity of entertainment at this year’s festival and with the increased number of participating brands, the economic impact of the 2013 festival on San Diego is projected to be even greater than previous years.
Tickets cost $90 for unlimited access to all of the liquor, entertainment and food at the festival.
