Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival Lineup Released. Tickets on Sale January 10, 2014
After much speculation, Goldenvoice has officially announced the lineup for the 2014 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. No Press Release has been issued, but the www.Coachella.com website and all related social media outlets posted yesterday the much anticipated three-day artist lineup.
After slowly “leaking” artists like Future Islands, Factory Floor, Bombino, and Motörhead over the past week, festival fans everywhere have been anxiously awaiting the full lineup which, as we now know, has an eclectic mix of metal, electronic, R&B and more.
Weekend 1 is set for April 11 – 13. Weekend 2 is April 18 – 20. Weekend 1 is nearly sold out from pre-sale tickets. Tickets open to the public on Friday, January 10, 2014.
Due to the dual-weekend schedule, there is still an air of mystery over which artists will appear which weekends. Based on historical evidence, headlining acts may not be present for both weekends. Only time will tell what the exact lineup will actually be, so for now fans are clambering to get their hands on tickets, hoping they’ll be able to see their favorite artists.
Due to pre-sale tickets being released, the lowest priced tier of tickets – General Admission ($375) – are sold out for weekend 1, but are available for weekend 2. Limited numbers of General Admission with Shuttle are available for weekend 1, with more availability for weekend 2. Camping is sold out for weekend 1, but both car and tent camping are available for weekend 2. For a full list of pricing and availability, check www.coachella.com/festival-passes.
Coachella began in 1999. In 2007 it expanded from a 2-day festival to 3 days. And in 2012 the festival expanded to 2-weekends. This year marks the first since Goldenvoice’s new deal with the city of Indio, which will host the festival through 2030.
