By  |

Come November 3, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse will officially debut its grandiose San Diego location to the public — the first of the Texas-born Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group’s West Coast locales. The waterfront restaurant will be the newest installment to the culinary collective’s 15 locations to date.

Located at the luxe InterContinental San Diego, the 16,650 square-foot ultra-premium steakhouse boasts San Diego Bay views, a thoughtfully-designed patio, two-story interior and an all-star culinary and beverage team to boot. Alongside the expertise of General Manager Michael Manoocheri, Executive Chef Brian Christman and Wine Director Faith Fulginiti, San Diegans can expect a large selection of USDA Prime wet and dry-aged steaks, seafood dishes, delectable sides and a roster of signature desserts. While the steak-centric restaurant has received national acclaim in outlets such as The New York Times, Wine Spectator and Business Insider for its revered wine program, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse also boasts an impressive cocktail menu for imbibers of all tastes, and here at the San Diego Entertainer, we got the exclusive sneak peek at what’s on the menu behind the bar.

Alongside a full bar of unique whiskeys and top-shelf liquors, guests can delight in a spectrum of cocktails from tart and sweet to smoky and complex. Del Frisco’s bar menu of 14 handcrafted cocktails all utilize artisanal spirits and fresh ingredients, each uniquely complementing the steakhouse’s bold fare. Heading the cocktail lineup is Del Frisco’s signature The VIP. Sweet and smooth in character, the beverage showcases the flavors of fresh pineapples soaked in Svedka Clementine Vodka for 14 days and is served chilled in a martini glass.

For those craving a bubbly refresher, the Plum Rosé incorporates sparkling rosé with Wheatley and Amaro Montenegro, delivering a delicate blend of citrus and vanilla essence. Plum preserves lend the eye-catching drink its tone. A quaffable choice for tequila connoisseurs is the restaurant’s Double Eagle Margarita, crafted with Casa Dragones Blanco, Grand Marnier, fresh lime and Monin Agave.

The perfect choice for gin aficionados, the Sapphire Bramble showcases a refreshing profile, made with Bombay Sapphire, Domaine de Canton, lemon, Monin Blackberry, basil, and San Pellegrino Limonata.

Another cocktail on the steakhouse’s high-caliber roster is the Blood Orange Manhattan which elevates the classic combination of rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters up a notch with blood orange liqueur for a tangy twist.
