San Diego-Based Moniker Group Announces Expansion With Moniker Cocktail Company
Ryan Sission, visionary entrepreneur and creative mind behind the Moniker Group, and business partner Nathan Cadieux have announced a new expansion into the hospitality industry with the launch of Moniker Cocktail Co. Headquartered in Moniker General, a modular retail shop and cafe in Liberty Station, Moniker Cocktail will feature an all-new beverage menu, beverage catering division, and more.
While Moniker General has been serving up delightfully tipsy drinks to its customers since 2017, the space will now encompass a brand new cocktail team that will serve as the launching ground for testing and showcasing the finest flavors and unique beverages.
The menu, which launched in August, features a variety of new offerings including a lineup of light libations perfectly suited for daytime indulgences. Paired alongside a sophisticated selection of forward-thinking creations, including traditional cocktails, Moniker Cocktail is suited to become a premiere location to imbibe in style from dawn till dusk.
“Our location is pretty unique in San Diego, located in Liberty Station and in close proximity to the airport. We have quite a few travelers coming to and from the airport. This often results in people arriving in the morning, from the East Coast, looking for something more than a coffee or tea. Instead of turning those people away and saying, ‘sorry we’re not open yet’, we decided to create a lighter ABV menu along with cold brew and espresso creations and expand the hours of the bar to match the coffee shop. Food and drink brings people together, and limiting people to the hours that they can experience that in Moniker General goes against our core being,” said Brian Tustin, General Manager of Hospitality for Moniker Group.
In the spotlight of its opening, we’d like to showcase six new cocktails that comprise Moniker Cocktails Co’s new daytime menu. For a supremely refreshing experience, the Orange Crush is their take on the classic Ocean City – a citrus sipper with a grapefruit vodka base, freshly squeezed Valencia oranges, and a splash of lemon-lime soda. Need a little pick me up? The Moniker Tiki Monkey is a spiked cold brew concoction while the Wild Thornberry will give you a nice boost thanks to its espresso infusion.
