Pacifica Breeze Cafe – Patio dining with ocean views

With the perfect spring weather comes the need for a place to enjoy patio dining with amazing ocean views. Pacifica Breeze Cafe in Del Mar offers all of this, in addition to a delicious menu which puts a spin on traditional favorites. Best of all, this locale proves that good food by the shore won’t burn a hole in your wallet.

Open for breakfast and lunch, Pacifica Breeze Cafe is a casual extension of the Pacifica Del Mar restaurant. With a sun-filled patio that opens out to ocean views and self-serve coffee, throw in an order of cinnamon brioche french toast and you’ve got a blissful spring morning.

Unfortunately, the popularity of this joint means crowds. Arrive early for both breakfast and lunch to claim your table, although on weekends the brunch crowd tends to merge with the lunch rush. Orders average $10.00 on both the breakfast and lunch menus, but servings are large, and I found myself sharing an order of Pecan Waffles and  giant mug of coffee with a friend.

Other delicious favorites offered on the menu include Crab Cake Benedict, Wild Mushroom Hash, and Mulligatawny Soup.

Located across from the L’Auberge resort in Del Mar and right by the charming Old Del Mar, the Cafe is also a short walk away from Seagrove Park and beachside Powerhouse Park. The free validated parking in the plaza is definitely a plus.

Breakfast is served Monday through Friday, from 8am – 11am, and weekends, 8am – noon.
Lunch hours are weekdays: 11am – 4pm, weekends: noon to 4pm
