Cucina SORELLA is the new little sister to the wildly popular CUCINA Urbana (located in Bankers Hill) and CUCINA Enoteca (located in Del Mar). All three restaurants are a product of the Urban Kitchen Group, a collective of restaurants in southern California founded by the legendary Tracy Borkum. Tracy has been in the restaurant industry for two decades, and each of her restaurants is wildly successful.

In 1995, she opened her first restaurant, the iconic Kensington Grill. Shortly after, in 1999, she opened Chive in downtown San Diego. Tracy also has her own catering company, Urban Kitchen Catering, which partners with some of the highest profile corporations and most elite venues in the area.

Cucina SORELLA is another gem in Tracy’s restaurateur crown, and the casual eatery brings all of the elements of her businesses together into what she terms, “The perfect dining trifecta: Exceptional food and superior service in an imaginatively designed environment”

Cucina SORELLA is a casual eatery that offers a pasta-forward menu, as well as small and large plates that showcase the Cucina brand’s signature emphasis on California-inspired Italian cuisine. The pastas are all be made in-house, and antipasti is constructed according to seasonal bounty. And perhaps the best thing about the decor at Cucina SORELLA (as well as the other restaurants in the Urban Kitchen collective) is that you can purchase everything within the venue—from wine and home accessories to furnishings and lighting fixtures.
