Saturday Night Show: Indie Rockers The Maine
If you don’t have anything going on this Saturday night, now you have plans. The Maine is playing the House of Blues, and you won’t want to miss this show. The band’s Lovely, Little, Lonely Tour is in San Diego on April 8th, one of the first stops on the tour, which is a celebration of their sixth studio album release. Doors open for the show at 6:30 and tickets are $22+.
The new record comes out this Friday, and from the three singles we have already, as well as the song clips the band has been teasing in the days before the release, the sound of Lovely, Little, Lonely is the best the Maine has created yet. While the five-piece band has never shied away from switching up sounds and trying new things, the Maine has always stayed true to themselves, with hard-hitting lyrics and catchy yet authentic rhythms. Watch the lyric video for the third LLL single below.
With Lovely, Little, Lonely being The Maine’s sixth album, it’s safe to say they’ve been on the music scene for a long time. The band formed in 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona, and have traveled all over the world playing their music for a devoted fan base. They are known for their consistent devotion to these fans and have throughout the years put on special tours and offered unique experiences for those who listen to their music. In January on their 10-year anniversary of becoming a band, The Maine put on a weekend-long festival in their hometown, featuring exclusive merchandise, a show limited to 300 people where they played their popular album Pioneer in full and a show with sets from other Arizona bands.
The Maine isn’t signed to any record label, and have put out their last four albums independently. They have done their best and most creative work without the restraint of a label, and they value their freedom as artists to make the music they want and to release it the way they want.

The Mowgli’s and Beach Weather are out on tour supporting The Maine this spring. The Mowgli’s are a six-piece alternative group from Los Angeles, who are out playing songs from their newly released album Where’d Your Weekend Go? Listen to a single off that record below.
Beach Weather, like the Maine, is from Arizona, made up of three members. Lead singer Nick Santino used to be a part of the group A Rocket to the Moon and has now made Beach Weather his new venture. Their alternative-pop vibes are perfect for summer just like their band name suggests. They release their music via the same independent collective as The Maine.
Buy your tickets for this night of great alternative tunes today just in case they sell out before this weekend! Enjoy the music and grab a bite to eat at the House of Blues downtown; you might just find a new favorite band.
