Katy Perry’s New Single Featuring Migos
At midnight, Katy Perry released a new track, Bon Apetit, and I can already tell that it’s going to be on repeat. Not only is the tune immensely catchy, but it also features Migos! It is the second track on her fifth studio album (release date TBD). Although it will be difficult to top 2013’s ‘Prism’ album, ‘Bon Apetit’ suggests a promising future for Perry.
Like many of her songs, Bon Apetit is both provocative and carefree. In the chorus Perry sings, “Cause I’m all that you want, boy. All that you can have, boy. Got me spread like a buffet. Bon Apetit, baby. Appetite for seduction. Fresh out of the oven. Melt in your moth kind of lovin.” Also, Migos’ Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset each show up with “delicious” lyrics at the end of the single. Needless to say, the song is going to be stuck in your head for the rest of the day, too.
Like her lead single, ‘Chained to the Rhythm,’ ‘Bon Apetit’ was also produced by pop producer Max Martin. Martin collaborated with fellow Swedish producers Shellback and Oscar Holter on the dance track.
Though we are unsure of the release of when her latest album will drop, we should find more information on the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 20. She will be guest performing, so make sure to mark your calendars (fingers crossed she plays Bon Apetit)!
If you haven’t already heard her lead single, you should also listen to ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ as it is also a very catchy tune. Prepare to go on a futuristic roller coaster ride as you watch the video, too.
SD Entertainer will keep you posted on the latest of Katy Perry’s performances and updates to her new album. Stay tuned.
