Foo Fighters New Album and Fall Tour
The Foo Fighters just announced that their new and ninth album, Concrete and Gold will be out by Sept. 15 via Roswell/RCA Records. And, that’s not all. They also announced their long list of tour dates for the fall, to include a gigantic one-day music festival in San Bernardino, California on Oct. 7.
The one day festival is self-curated and started in the year 1974, featuring bands like Black Sabbath and Aerosmith. For the festival taking place this Oct. 7, some bands that will be featured alongside The Foo Fighters are Cage the Elephant and Queens of the Stone Age. Also, this festival is going to offer an assortment of attractions you don’t want to miss. It will include camping, carnival rides, and even a water park.
Concrete and Gold is following a tough act, considering the success of The Foo Fighter’s previous albums. Specifically, the new album follows the Foo Fighters’ 2014 album Sonic Highways and their 2015 follow-up EP, Saint Cecilia. Also, this album was produced by the surprising Greg Kurstin (Adele, Katy Perry, Pink), which are surprising sounds out of The Foo Fighter’s typical rock/alternative genre of music. We are optimistic that The Foo Fighters are going to come out with unexpectedly impressive new music, despite the possible challenge.
The Foo Fighters already teased a new song, “Run,” recently as a surprise. Additionally, they performed another new song, titled “La Dee Da” at a festival in Iceland. Both songs represented a positive future for the band’s new album and fall tour.
They officially start their tour on October 12 at the Anthem in Washington D.C, and the show is already completely sold out. They will wrap at the end of December in Salt Lake City, Utah. Make sure to get pre-sale tickets, before the rest of the shows become sold out.
