Eminem Video “I Love The Way You Lie” Debuts

Eminem’s much anticipated music video, ” I love the way you lie” made its debut last night on MTV. The video starts out with a close-up of guest artist Rhianna who is rocking bright red hair. Singing her hook, we flash to Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan sleeping quietly in their house.

Everyone knows that Rhianna was picked to be the featured artist on this song after the highly publicized domestic violence between her and hip-hop artist, Chris Brown. Rhianna told “Access Hollywood” that “[Eminem] pretty much just broke down the cycle of domestic violence, and it’s something that a lot of people don’t have a lot of insight on, so this song is a really, really powerful song, and it touches a lot of people.”

As the music video moves along, we see Eminem standing alone in a never-ending field with a powerful presence. Eminem’s intense lyrics fill the speakers, “I can’t tell you what it really is, I can only tell you what it feels like. And right now there’s a steel knife in my windpipe, I can’t breathe…” You can’t help to feel moved by his lyrical rhythms that describe his chaotic relationship with ex-wife Kim Rocky.

Fox and Monaghan depict the emotions perfectly with their tears, fights, and screaming. It makes you feel like you are in the room with two feuding individuals that are so passionately in love.  There is a flow of anger along with passion that fills each scene that pulls you in. It is amazing to watch a music video that grabs your attention and keeps it for the full 3 minutes. Check out this disturbing yet captivating music video!
